Kathleen Russell’s inspiration comes from her west coast surroundings. Her prolific output ranges from landscapes and coastal scenes to domestic interiors, portraits and figure studies - from the dramatic and stormy to the quiet and tranquil. Her highly individual and recognisable style employs watercolour applied thickly with assured brush-strokes, expert draughtsmanship and subtle use of colour.
